My mission is to change the way people approach wellness by promoting bodywork as essential, preventative care, not just an occasional treat or a reaction to stress and pain. I support individuals to tune into their bodies, deepen self-awareness and take charge of their well-being through consistent care. Wellness is not a privilege, it’s a right and we are here to help you honour it with intention. Through a blend of therapeutic techniques, I create a nurturing space in your home, at the clinic, or in community to support nervous system regulation, relieve pain and empower you with self-care tools for life’s daily demands. Serving the Greater Montreal Area.

I'm Jacqueline, founder of Art of Shu Bodywork. My journey into healing began while navigating chronic pain, stress, and anxiety after a traumatic assault. Through moving meditation, Reiki, massage therapy, and support from psychology and physiotherapy, I slowly found my way back to my body.
In 2015, I completed my Kemetic Yoga teacher training in Jamaica and began sharing these practices in schools, studios, corporate spaces, and community settings while studying acupressure. My path wasn’t linear. A spinal injury in 2019 left me with nerve pain and limited mobility, pushing me to deepen my commitment to holistic therapy.
After graduating from École Setsuko in 2021 for massage therapy and completing my acupressure certification in 2022, I began supporting others using the same tools that supported my recovery. After gaining experience in Montreal’s top sports medical clinic and a luxury mobile massage company, I chose to dedicate myself fully to Art of Shu in 2024.
My work focuses on preventative, nervous-system-centered care, creating space for pain relief, restoration, and a deeper connection to your body.

Sound therapy with tuning forks is a vibrational healing technique that uses precisely calibrated metal forks to create specific frequencies. These frequencies help restore balance in the body by influencing the nervous system, energy pathways, and cellular function. Tuning forks produce a pure sound wave that resonates with the body’s natural frequencies. When placed near or on the body, the vibrations travel through tissues and fluids, encouraging relaxation, reducing tension, and improving circulation. The frequencies can also stimulate the body’s energetic pathways (meridians), similar to acupressure or acupuncture, promoting the free flow of energy (Qi) and supporting deep healing.

We are more than just a physical body. Traditions such as Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and many indigenous practices have long recognized that we also have an energetic body, a field of energy that flows through and around us. When that flow is unobstructed, we tend to feel well. When it gets depleted, blocked or flows in excess due to stress, trauma, grief or illness. It shows up as physical tension, emotional heaviness or a general sense of feeling off.
Flower essences are vibrational medicine that works directly on this level. The flowers are bathed in water in sunlight, then removed, leaving only the water with the vibration, or essence of the plant. They work on the mental and emotional body, are intuitively felt and can reach things that physical bodywork sometimes can't.
This is ancient medicine, dating back 40,000 years to the indigenous people of Australia and woven through Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries. In the 1930s, Dr. Edward Bach drew on this wisdom, developing 38 remedies used alone or in mixes that are still widely used today. -
Gua Sha is a Traditional Chinese Medicine technique that uses a smooth tool to gently glide along the skin, creating friction that helps release muscle tension and stimulate circulation. This targeted scraping technique helps break up stagnation in the tissues, reduce tightness, and support the body’s natural recovery process.
-
Moxibustion is a warming therapy from Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves burning a small amount of mugwort herb near specific acupuncture or acupressure points. The gentle heat helps stimulate circulation, support energy flow, and warm areas of the body that feel depleted, tense, or stagnant.
